MACHINE OPERATOR SUPERVISOR - (IBLTS) BEIRA, MOZAMBIQUE.

General

The Machine Operator Supervisor is responsible for all operators and heavy machines used in IBLTS premises.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties below do not exclude other tasks from being performed if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this job.

 

Outline of Duties & Responsibilities:

 

· Coordinate all daily operations with Supervisors to ensure Machine/Operator availability at any given time.

· Delegate work professionally amongst team members to ensure position rotation.

· Ensure operators perform to IBLT standards and in line with HSES regulations.

· Inspect machines to ensure operators complete checklists and report faulty machines.

· Be able to analyze tasks at hand to ensure safe operations.

· Train team members to create a safe and successful team.

· Make decisions on the spot to ensure a job is completed safely.

· Work according to deadlines.

· Maximize output of machines/operators and avoid idle time to ensure good productivity.

· Plan and delegate jobs without superior assistance.

· Be able to fault find on machines in order to know when a machine is not performing correctly and report faults immediately to avoid lost time.

· Communicate and plan preventative maintenance of machines with the Workshop supervisor to ensure good availability of machines

· Ensure all machines in neat and good working conditions at all times

· Ability to maintain the initiative to maintain the flow of work under minimal supervision.

· Provide regular performance feedback to machine operators, and address any performance concerns.

Working Hours

The Machine Operator Supervisor is generally required to work standard company hours and when necessary extended hours.
